Askhow2 has developed an ever growing network of experienced Authors who write Knowledge Bytes.
Our Authors
Our Authors come from various backgrounds: academia, institutes, consultancies, government bodies and private companies. The common denominator is the high level of knowledge and expertise they possess, through years of experience in their particular field. But the most apparent commonality is their desire to share knowledge and experience with our members.
How we work with our Authors
Every Knowledge Byte has been created in response to a request made by a member. Every time we receive a request, we contact appropriate Author(s) and invite them to write the Knowledge Byte within the timeframe indicated by the requestor. The Authors are NOT obliged to write any Bytes for us, however if they agree to create the Knowledge Byte then we expect them not to default on that agreement.
Author's benefits
1. Each Author has a page on our site with their personal or company’s profile, contact details and links to their websites where appropriate. Member traffic associated with an Author i.e. Bytes and profile hits, is captured and reported to the Author.
2. Our Authors enjoy a close relationship with our members. Feedback communication is an essential part of the service and can take place in two ways: Firstly, members can rate Bytes and add comments to their rating (at the bottom of each Byte). Secondly, we have introduced a 'Discussion' area for each Knowledge Byte, which means that any member can start or join a discussion around a Byte and its topic, generating further knowledge sharing.
3. Our Authors have a password-protected personal area on the website where they can view:
A full report about their Knowledge Bytes i.e. how many times they have been viewed, or rated etc.
Also, by visiting this area, they can view the latest requests for bespoke Bytes from our members and claim the ones they would like to create.
